Is anyone else becides me having a hard time getting ahold of them?
When i call them they answer and tell me to call back in like 15 min that kieth will be back in about 15 or so then when u call back in 15 min they never answer. or you call there and it just rings till u get the answering machine and there machine is full and u cant leave a message. i just want to know the status of the 2 dp's i ordered from them and when i will be reciving them

Brent, have you tried to email Keith at all?? If not I would try that and see what happens.... He seems to be a pretty standup guy although he has had some problems (but who doesn't at times).... You never know there might have been a problem with shipping or he might be behind because of some problem at his shop.... It is important that we remember that vendors are human beings and sometimes they make mistakes or sh!t happens that they have no control over! Let's not start some bashing thread because in the end it won't benefit anybody at all!!!
Just my .02 for whatever it's worth....

I have emailed him several times and i have 2 friends waiting on dp and they have emailed them several times as well with no response. ever since i sent him the pay pal i have yet to get any feed back from him. im not bashing him or anything just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem. im just wanting to get my dp as its the only thing holding me up.. and my friend up

*IMHO*, if he had similar problems in the past, he would make every effort to resond much more quickly. Again, I don't know the circumstances on this deal, but multiple emails w/o a response make no sense.

I ordered a D.P. on 4-11 when I ordered it he told me that he's not first in line at the jet-hot coater. I've e-mailed him several times and he's very prompt about a response. Mine should be here this week, and like the other guys replied, you never know what kind of problems one can run into running a business.

I am still waiting for the rest of my intercooler and have e-mailed him twice with no replies. The trouble I think with some vendors is they never stock anything and tell you that it is in stock.
It has been over 2 weeks waiting for a reply, my check that I sent him was cashed in 1 day.
 
He has been swamped

I was over there at his shop helping him out yesterday. He has been bombarded by people trying to get their cars ready for BG.
As far as the down pipes go; he just got 2 back from getting coated and has several others completed. Downpipes are usually purchased 50-100 at a time from the bender. As such, he doesnt always have the pipe in stock and tells people when they order that there might be a wait.
You have to understand that he is a 1 man operation with occasional help from myself and several other guys. He isnt out to "steal" anyones hard earned money. But you also have to understand that he makes specialized products; some of which you cannot buy elsewhere. As such, you have to be patient. If you can't be patient then your best bet is to buy from someone else. My recommendation is to email him as most of the time he can't hear the phone when it rings.
 
Keith's a friend of mine and I shoot the $hit with him and I still had to wait on my stuff. Maybe I'm more comfortable waiting than others, but I know how busy he is and I know he'll get it to me when he can. The quality is worth it!
 
I can't believe you guys making excuses for him. I am a firm believer in the fact that although a leopard might be able to cover up for a while, he cannot change his spots.

If he has time to "shoot the s--t" then I would think he has time to return an email....

I can appreciate being a "1 man operation". Thats fine - then STOP TAKING ORDERS! Or - better yet, since you are taking orders and peoples money - then you should be able to hire a few workers. Kids in auto tech schools would kill for a minimum wage job to help out in a performance shop - use that resource...

If you are not making enough to hire a few kids to help out, then you are not making enough money. With such a unique and quality product - then get the money you deserve to produce it.

JMO as a fellow business owner. I just cannot see having a business for very long if I promised a customer service at a certain time (i.e. "in stock") and then failed to do so. And then failed to answer emails and voice mails from people I already took money from.

And before you all jump on me, it is just good business to not seem to have "the time" to go cash a check, but not return an email. Saying up front "its going to take time" is one thing. Saying its in stock, and then weeks later not answer emails is just not acceptable, no matter how "good" or unique the product or service is.

I reference Mr. DeQuick for that. Who cares how great the product is if you have an ulcer over trying to get it???

Sometimes I don't understand people - but as they say, a fool and his money are soon parted....

HONEST PEOPLE DO NOT NEED "EXCUSE-MEISTERS"

I believe the point is Customer Service...which seemingly is not included in the price for some products...or perhaps cannot be bought at any price from some sources.

Any one carrying around someone else's money has a significant responsibility & obligation...both ethical, and legal.

People ignoring customer's e-mail, not available by phone, not shipping when promised, saying it's shipped when it has not...
are commiting business suicide.

Most simply, if you only care for the customer's money, and not the customer, you are going to fail, hopefully sooner than later.

There are 2 other threads like this one regarding 2 other vendors right now.

Buyers beware!
 
My Dad or myself are not out to bash Keith.
I posted a thread up in the Lounge asking Keith to call me. The reason for that was his mail box was full, his answering machine was full and he was not at home.

Dad had ordered a sheet metal intake from him back on the 7th of last month. Keith had said he would have it ready in two weeks. I sent him a certified bank check overnight so there were no problems with money. It was not ready.

The part that concerned us was we simply could not get in touch with him and it was a week late.

We finally got a hold of him this past Friday and he let us know that he was gone for personal reasons. He also said we would have the manifold by this coming Friday.

I know that Keith does custom work and this manifold is certainly a custom job. And car parts ALWAYS take one week longer than they should.

So no, Keith is not up to anything bad. I do think that he needs to work on his customer service and he knows that.

There is enough vendor bashing on this board as it is. Keith does not qualify for an ass whipping by any stretch.

For the amount of money the manifold costs I would be on a Jet Blue plane to Newark in a quick second if I thought I had to be.

Once we get it I will post some pics up so all can see.

I have NEVER had a single problem with Keith. I always e-mailed him (with my phone #) and he's always called me back.

Keith has NEVER ripped anyone off. Pi#%ed someone off? probably but, he has always delivered. Be patient, keep e-mailing him...

why is that people on this board jump on the bashing band wagon as soon as some1 askes a question

his peaces are custom made its not like they make 100000 at a time

i only have 1 thing to say "grow up" also would u wont some pos pipe or have to wait a week or 2

We are all grown ups here.

There is no vendor bashing going on where Keith is concerned.


The point of all of this is simply do what you say you are going to do. If it takes a little longer, that is OK too. Just pick up the phone and let the customer know.

Time does not buy quality, money does.

I like him and he is a very good person, He is very busy but he makes some of the best peices for the GN's that has ever came out. Give him time he will get to you, I spoke with him online last night about some valves covers and he said he is trying to get to them. He has been backed up and working his a$$ off trying to catch up. Please give him time, he is working as hard as he can.
 
For a while he was posting a couple times a day here. Now i dont see him posting. Hope all is cool.
