might have lou built my motor

long story short... i let a friend take my car to a car show and he gave it back with a blown head gasket so so i figured i would take the oppertunity and have the motor rebuilt. talked to lou today and he sounds like a great guy hopefully we can work something out.


maybe if i head out to cali some of you guys can be there,so i can meet most of you guys:smile:

Thanks guys, Talking to tony & had to chuckle, Tell me this doesn't sound familiar. Phone call & interview goes like this. Lou you come highly recommended & I need an engine. I mainly want a reliable ten second capable engine that will be driven on Sundays & car shows. Oh & once in a while taken to the track. I then say to him allow me to introduce you to Flaco , mean chicken & others that I won't go into. Isn't that how we all started out. You guys are funny & brighten up my day. As far as loaning a hi perf car out to well intentioned friends that is a high risk liability. Be thankful that's all that happened & pass it off to experience. I know, now I'm starting to sound like daddy Lou again & will give myself a shut up stupid cause what do us old guys know anyways.

Slowly putting things back together.
Headers with Remflex gaskets and crossover are back on, and I fixed my trans exhaust hanger and the exhaust hanger behind the passenger side muffler (both were torn loose).

I'm still looking for a 45 degree 4" to 3" reducer elbow for my turbo inlet.
TR Customs sells 'em but I'll have to call him to see if he'll sell one on its lonsome, since he normally combines them with a MAF pipe and there's no way to order individually on his web site.
Right now I'm sufing for other sources.

I also need to paint my exhaust housing on the new turbo to keep it from rusting.

I leave for Asia in a few days so I won't be running again until after I get back.

I already found one last night.

I already have the TRC Big Mouth kit....just needed the 45deg 4" to 3" reducer to go between the MAF pipe and turbo inlet.
