Don't hold your breath. Bob Lutz himself killed the Zeta platform over 6 months ago. And it doesn't look good for a revival, not while he's in control.

Even though i've almost given up on modern GM performance, I was actually reading up on this recently. The zeta is still a go for Holden and they have a TT36 concept using the new global 3.6 twin turboed. Also Saab has a smaller global v6 2.8(?) thats turbocharged so at least some parts of Gm are playing with turbo 6's :)

GM makes me sick to my goddamn stomach. The bastards toy with us with this Zeta program, then they kill it. I hate GM. I'm gonna go buy a Ford just to spite them. The only GM brand with any balls left is Cadillac, but there too damn much money for me.

He and GM didn't kill the Zeta. It just got pushed further behind. Another year. I think which would make the release 2007-08. Again Zeta is on!

Hey be a little optimisstic. If you go to www.gm.com you can click on a window and send GM an e-mail telling them what you like and hate. Not everybody in Detriot has deaf ears. Who knows? Maybe if enough people let GM know they want this car it will be built.

Zeta is back on as stated above... it was just postponed for a bit.

Just LOL  What young person has the $$ to buy that if it was to come out. WHICH it won't.

OK, 3 of you claim that Zeta is back on track. I wont argue, other than to say, I'm not holding by breath, not as long as that scum back Lutz is in charge. I hope ya'll are right.

I bet a lot of young people won't have the money to buy it, but I bet they will still probably want to have one. It'll help change Buicks image of old people cars. Gm like most companies is in it for a profit, if enough people like these cars and tell them they want it, then of course it'll probably go into production, because then they will be making money off of selling a lot of them.

Older salesmans words

I talked to salesman about the 07 GTO a few weeks ago, and I asked him if the car was scratched since it was projected to be on that zeta platform and like everybody else I read it was. He responded that the car will not be on the zeta platform but will in fact be made on a different named platform that will also carry the bonnieville? He also went on to say some things about how the UAW contract only allows for so many units to be sold in the States when the the car is made over seas. the 07s will be made in the States so look for more production #s. The guy seemed to know alot and although my spidey sense was tingling, I liked what he said. If anybody cares the salesman worked at Jacobs Twinn in Chicago.

Yeah well the way the economy is going, the program will probably be halted again due to customers who cannot afford the cars.

If you ask me we are screwed. i have a feeling we are not going into a recesion, but a depression.

We are spending so much money on over seas BS we forgot that the American people themselves are more important than looking like a saint to the rest of the world.

Just my thought :D
