hello all, not sure which way i need to go with this. my "alkycontrol" kit is nearly maxed out at 25lb boost.car runs great, but..greedy individual that i am, just needs more..why?...so i can break it again and be misirable of course? who knows. anyway...i think 30lbs sound entertaining, so...should i add 10or 20% fuel (TT chip) and or a larger alky nozzle.comon sense tells me it would be best to just spray more alky. thanks.

need to combo on the car to get an idea but 30 psi i would probably cut timing down a few degrees to run higher boost which would result in probably the same power if not worse because of running out of air on the turbo. it would make better sense to start playing with timing at 25 psi and see where it get you

thanks for the reply paul. t-61,60lb.inj. stretch ft.mount,340pump, 204/214 ," 3"down and out. motor had been rebuilt by previous owner and new pistons appear to be 9/1 or so.had to pull timing back to 21* @ 25 lbs with stock razor kit spraying almost max to get less than 1* knock. car runs great overall.just cant run much for timing ..i wish i could but i think the slightly high comp. is the issue there.

is the chip setup for a front mount if not you may have to add fuel in chip and is that 21 in third or all gears

You will need a lot more alky and probably more turbo to get it to run at 30 psi and not break. Id bet the 61 is breathing really hard at this point. What has the car run? Provide any numbers you have. Ive run 27.5 psi at 9.0:1 with an old SMC kit and a lot of the parts you see in my sig. You could get more out of Razor's if tuned. That same engine put 559/706 to the wheels at 24.5 psi. Wideband tuning is critical.

What are your O2's? Are you running a wideband? 30 lbs is really pushing it. Sounds like you need a dual nozzle kit. If I were to push my car that hard I would bump up the turn on point and the initial setting however you never mentioned where your O2's are. It is important to know if you are running rich or lean.
Personally I would get the best tune possible at 25 lbs before going for broke.

30lbs maybe more than the t-61 can sustain.i dont race this car,its just a street toythat tows my m/cycle to the track.....chip is of course burned for this combo and eric made timing default 19/18..which i bumped to 21/18*. For better or worse ,i tune from KR..which i had seen too much of just before pushing out left side h/gskt.i studed the heads this time, added felpros and am more careful with the alky tune.i know a w/band is the deal and and i need one for sure... o/2s now are in the high 700s when i blast it. ..scanmaster only. i,d like to be able to push timing past 21* which is wher it is know, and run boost up from 25 to maybe 28?. I have knock down to less than 1*.my alky tune comes on at 8lbs and ramps up pretty fast...this is where i broke it last time ..transitioning...gain is at 9. so ..it seems the stock alky kit is maxed. would a larger nozzle or maybe dual feed be the way to go,and if the turbo is at its limit at 28..maybe sneak timing up slowly and check for knock?(of course). after a "razor" and "eric TT guy"search it seems to me, knock, and when it appears, is the bottom line..a data log, wide band and egt is the ticket and i know this from tuning my turbo ,alcohol bike into the mid 7s..i am no stanger to this...just want to to explore what youall have found/do as well. thanks very much.

You explained it all when talking about the wideband. Do it and you will never regret it.
