how do you get a mid 3000 k stall to foot brake in the 3000 rpm range ? I have a ptc converter and it will only build 4-5 psi on the foot before it wants to push through or spin the tires....

You need to put more braking to the rear with larger shoes, s-10 wheel cylinders, proportioning valve, et.

I have the same problem with mine, i have managed to squeeze 7lbs at the line with a tight rear brake adjustment and not doing a big burnout which heats up your brake's. If you already have a proportioning valve or other means of applying all the pressure to the rear brakes and have put the S-10 manual brake cylinders on the car then you might want to consider a trans brake. The only mods i have done to my brakes are the S-10 manual cylinders.

if you dont like your ptc converter trade me. i will give you my converter which will stall to 3k

Don't get me wrong, I like my ptc converter. I do have a transbrake as well, but I'd like to run some footbrake classes and be able to come out of the hole "hot" .

Are you slowly pressing the gas pedal down while holding the brake, or are you matting it?

slow and easy. If I just mat it, it will just slide the front tires and take off like a rocket as soon as the boost comes on. going to start another thread about the proper master cylinder. Don't know if I got it or not. Thanks for all the reply's

For foot brake racing you need a line lock for burnouts and either adjustable proportioning (preferred) or larger wheel cylinders to be able to launch easier. I can get 10psi with no problem on my 9.5" PTC
