I bought a motor from a board member and have not received it yet.
Paid in full plus shipping.
My bank draft was signed for and received on June 22/04, of which i express shipped.

I am getting worried on this because the shipper does not seem to know anything about pickups that were supposed to be made.

See my post in "Parts Wanted" ''built shortblock wanted'',of which the board member responded to.

I hope that all is well, but i am getting bad vibes on this.

De ja voo

your story sounds quite familar but mine had a happy ending so far:D :D :D

i hope that all gose well and please keep us updated as well

Johnny

thing latley dont seem to move as quickly anymore????

I was told the block "has the turbo 6 on it"........it does not.......block number is 25514291.

I was told it was 25500016, 4 bolt mains, forged rods/crank.

The picture i was emailed is different from the motor i received..........i am out $4000.

In all honesty, Mike. I am not in the least bit pleased that things turned sour on your deal... I hope it works out for you.

Good luck.

$4000 is in Canadian funds after brokerage/taxes/exchange rate etc.
I paid $2700 u.s. before taxes etc etc.

Aint no way I would pay for a block/crank before inspecting it. Sorry you got taken on the deal. Reading the link to the thread, it was appearant that the seller would have knew more about the block if he dropped it on his foot. Not that it is your fault that he was ignorant of what he was selling, but the signs of a ripoff and now the seller crying some story how he didn't know, look like they are in the making.

Sorry for your bad deal.

I have remove some post from this thread due to no bearing and/or relevance in this topic / situation.
I dont know what happen between Cheeseburger and this other person he may or may not have had a problem with in the pass with. But if this person would like to take his or her feedback about there buying or selling experience with cheeseburger to the proper forum (Feedback Forum) and follow the rules of that forum he or she can do so , But I dont what THIS thread hi-jacked , Cheeseburge present problem taken lightly or used against him for personal attacks or satisfaction.

Also what happens on other boards is not our concern and we can not and will not base any administration decisions on what members here do on other boards (due to differents in rules & guildlines) or will we make admin decisions based on he said she said statements , But I/we will look at a Members activities on other Buick related boards to compare with any problems they may be causing on TB.com (our board) and see if this member has a history of violations on other boards and/or other members.

One last thing , If I/we find a member threatening members by email or private message that member could be suspended or banned from TB.com.
So please conduct yourselfs accordingly in your email and pm replys.

If anyone has any questions or concerns please email or pm me.

Thanks
Jesse

If the above photos are accurate, I think you'd have little trouble raking him over the coals legally. Don't get too mad, just talk to your lawyer. That's rediculous....laughable, really.

I don't think Mike is going to need a lawyer.
I will leave things at that!

Please send me the e-mail that he was selling/sending you an ...016 block and stuff.

If he in fact did a bait-and-switch, we will give him 3 days to respond in making this right. At that time we will remove him from the board until this is corrected to your satisfaction.

Wish we could be more help, but we will at least protect other members.

Do not want to lock this thread, but also do not want to see any other posts not pertaining DIRECTLY to resolving this situation.

Mike Klugman on notice............

Did review your e-mails and they confirm all you have posted.

Will follow through on this and hope you do receive what you purchased.

We also have a Feedback forum on the board, and am aware this info is there too.

We will look into publishing a list of names and addresses of known people that have de-frauded any of our members. This would be a permanent list and only when restitution has been made would the offending party be removed. There are very few, but we will not tolerate any of them.

I can't believe that @#$% could do that to someone. It is to bad that he is not in TEXAS!!

The seller called yesterday and said he will call by noon today, (pst).
He admitted not being ''completely honest'' with the sale and said he bought the motor from another person and did not look at it.......but forwarded it to me.
He also said the reason shipping took so long was because he was waiting on the other person.
He asked me to email the pictures of the motor i received, which i did yesterday.

I was not aware of another party involved and only emailed and talked to Mike Klugman in regards to the the purchase of the motor.
