SignUp Now!BFG's just don't hook well, period! You have to get them really worn down to get anything decent (1.7's) 60ft wise. The MT's out the box, turn them over a few times in the burnout box and your hooked 1.6's 60ft. I ran a 1.38 on MT 275/60.
The M/T drag radial looks like it would hook better and from the sounds of it does, but the tire is not street legal and does not come in a 17".
Actually, the M/T drag radial is street legal. I've run the 255-50/16s on the back of my T/R for three or four years. The BFGs I ran before that were definitely better on the street, especially in the rain, but the Mickeys are WAY better on the strip!
MTs rock but don't get caught in the rain. You might as well be on ice.
