Nope. Their all the same.

same block,just change crank,pistons and tap hole for oil return..The rods are 2dot rods..so resize them with a set of arp bolts and your done,109 turbo shortblock.I have built a few of these with no problem..
you can also put a set of billet center caps and line bore if you looking to run low 11's or high 10's and port/polish heads..and a set of trw pistons..

just my 2 cents...

I have an original 1987 GN 109 turbo block that is bored 30 over and needs a cleaning for $50.00 pick up price in CT 06492
i also have several nice std bore 109 N/A blocks available for $250.00 each
