Yes you have a Serious problem, and it looks like it's the springs. They are way too short. The mounting plate for the upper ball joint should be parallel to the ground (see pic) It looks as if the bottom a-arm is close to bottomed out just sitting there. I would change the springs, and you should be OK. I don't think the downpipe will be a problem then. The pic is of a stock height car. Look at the angle of the upper a-arm, and the space between the lower a-arm and the frame. :biggrin:

yup springs are too short, I'm going to go the dropped spindle route with stock springs
 
Check out mrose's thread "Front Tires Rubbing" He found out his car has drop spindles. Maybe he's looking to get rid of them ?? :wink:
