I am looking to adjust my fuel pressure a little bit, but I am unsure of how to actually carry out the task.

I have an Accufab Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator installed, but I have no idea on how to use it to make my adjustments.

I would appreciate it a great deal if somebody can explain in detail what I need to do to adjust the fuel pressure on my GN.

Thanks

A known good fuel pressure gauge at the end of the fuel rail hooked to the schrader valve.

Start the car with fuel gauge hooked up, remove vacuum hose to regulator and stick it to something where it sticks enough so the motor doesnt idle down too far. (getting rid of vacuum leak)

Look at the gauge, if its at 40psi and you need to adjust the fuel pressure higher, then unlock the jamb nut with a 10mm wrench, and screw in the top screw with a allen wrench to get desired PSI.

Use your 10mm wrench and lock the allen bolt in place and double check fuel pressure.

If you dont have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator, then a 9/16 socket and a claw hammer works perfect.

first, do u have a fuel pressure gauge to watch while ur adjusting? next, what kind of chip is in the car and do u know around what fuel pressure it requires?

for adjustment if ur accufab is the same as mine, make sure the car is warm and idling in park. next go under the hood to ur fuel pressure regulator and on top u will see a vacuum hose connected to a fitting, an allen head bolt going straight down into the top of the reg., and a jam nut at the bottom of the allen bolt. pull the vac. hose off and notice ur fuel pressure reading on gauge, this is "static" pressure. loosen the jam nut on top with 11mm wrench or 7/16". then turn the allen bolt clockwise to increase pressure, counter to decrease pressure. tighten jam nut when pressure is where u want it! most chips r made for about 42psi static pressure. hth:)
