got my new turbo on its a cpt66 and ive been tuning it today.cars been doin good got to 21 pounds and got a little knock turn up fuel alittle and it stopped it .turned it up to 23 got a little knock so i stepped up to the 12 and 14 the 2 biggest alky jets i have and stopped the knock.turn the boost controller 1 turn and it went to 29 pounds and started knockin bad.turned it 4 turns down and got 15 lbs turned 1 and 1/2 turns and got 18lbs again 1 and1/2 turns 28lbs with tons of knock whats goin on here? also car is a dog off the line know all the sudden i can built 4lbs on the foot brake let of and no spin?it would roastem at 0 pounds foot breakin then let of and nailin it before.last thing my fuel preassure gage is showin like 60 lbs at idle with vac line off and its moving around is this a bad gage or regulator?which one do you guys think and could fuel pressure be causing this eratic performance.it has the single walbro pump and voltage booster on it.also im runnin straight meth.

Whos boost controller? I just had problems with 2 billet units in a week! I would suspect the regulator. 60lbs line off-WOW. Turn the boost way down til you get it sorted out. Do you have a good convertor? I have the same turbo and have instaboost with an Art Carr 9". I cant build ANY boost on the street to launch, annihilates the tires( New MT DR's ) I am pretty happy with the turbo. Update us with your findings

it has a reworked 12 inch so it prably crappy.i dont know whos controller it is but i was told that it could be rated to low and i may be maxin out its ability to contol the boost.does this make sense?could this boost controller be all my problems?on the fuel issue im leanin towards a bad gauge at 60 or 80 # of fuel preassure it should flood the car right?car is idleing fine so i dont think the gauge is workin.nobody else had this problem?

is it a liquid filled gauge??..

thats a big ass turbo for a 12inch converter

PS remove the volt booster, ive seen them give more problems then they help when running alky.. really not needed with a good fuel pump and hot wired

i read the under side of the boost controller and it said max output 25 pounds so is it possiable that at 23# of boost then turning it a little more is bottoming out the controller to the point that it wont control the boost anymore

I doubt it but could be wrong. I have a Turbonetics rated at 25 psi and I run 27-28 and have seen 30.
