Jesse....Thank you much, for running the carfax report on my 87GN! I wonder why the title/registration searches ommited my 1987 purchase/registration (Indiana) info...I am the original owner?? Shows everything else. Also, only shows it as a 1987 Buick Regal (no indications of being a GN)...is this normal?

I looked at your report to check on what you were telling me, I didnt see "Indiana" as the place were the purchase/registration I seen "Harmony, PA" were the title/registration were issued on 10-11-88.....If none of this sits right with you, I would go to your local D.M.V or title agency and see what the problem may be, Being that your the original owner.
Also "Yes" its normal not to see Grand National on your title, I would have like to seen it on the title being as its a limited production car.

Hi Jesse....Thanks for your reply! Yea, I bought the car while I lived in Indiana and then relocated (work) back to Harmony Pa. in the latter part of 1988, where the car was re-registered there and have since moved again to NC. Everything shows correctly, EXCEPT for what I feel is the MOST important one...The original purchase @ 11 miles/first vin# registration from the Buick dealer in Evansville, Indiana!?!? Oh well, I guess I'll have to see what DMV can tell me about it....prolly nothing though...carfax said it ran 7 checks and found 3 complete reports....should be 4....can't believe the FIRST title/reg. info is what is not showing up

I asked carfax "why doent something show on carfax like accdents and some retitleing" thay said "some states do not report some information like other states and some dont report at all" but Bruce (we4) and I are trying to get a little more indepth about exploring vin #'s in hopes of helping the Buick community even more. I will keep the board in touch of future developments.
