The plastic angle sides that protrude up from the sensor body on the new sensor interfere with the angled sides of the bracket. Looking closer I can see that the old sensor sides have a divot removed near their top which clears the sides.

I assume I have the right sensor (bought from Dal) it fits OK otherwise.

Think it would be OK to dremel a bit of the bracket away to clear the sensor??

Thanks, Bob

GM redesigned the bracket. If you are using the original bracket that came with the car then you need to buy a new bracket when getting a new crank sensor. HTH

Well aint that a fine howdy-do...I'd like to thank our GM friends for this opportunity to buy even another service part. Bet dremelling away a bit of the bracket will work...

Anybody know for sure??

Why bother...the bracket and bolt are only around $7 at a GM dealer...

12537113 - bracket
12537114 - bolt
