SignUp Now!Well about the weight, it's a little early to say...Jack received only a short while ago today so we haven't checked that yet...Gears are 3:55's...NIIIICE!!!! how much does that weigh in compared to the stocker? and what gears did you wind up getting?
aaron
The reason is that you cannot get anything lower than 3:55 for a DanaWhats the reason for 355 gears? Is there any advantage....or do you have a different transmission than a 200r. I have always heard of guys going to 373 gears.
But what do you think about the gear ratio choices? what would you use? thxClaude,
The S-60 is a really nice rear end. I'm planning on getting one myself. The 9.75" ring and pinion is hard to beat and the price is less than a 9" Ford rear end. You can get a 35 spline axle with a posi too.

Exactly. I'm running some 275-60's which are a little taller than the stock ones...and at the track, some 10.5" x 28.5" slicks. I'm pretty confident that both these sizes will be ok with the 3:55 gears and that the effect of difference in gear ratios will be minimal. Most guy's end up going with a taller rear tire than stock which will have a greater effect on the gear ratio than the difference between 3.42's and 3.55's.
