Is this normal on a GN? I just got the battery early in the summer. The car hasn't been stated in 3.5 weeks and I decided to check the voltage before starting and it was 3.8v. Does this sound normal? I have the charger on it now to bring it back to life. Thanks

paul

Nope not normal.

But what about the last battery you replaced?

Gotta find out if it was a bad one or is the car killing them?

Load test with an ammeter at rest should tell.

You disconnected the fan delay relay for storage I hope. ;)

Salvage, what does the fan delay relay have to do with it?
Since the car is off the road can I just take the battery in to where I bought it to have it checked?
It has green dot indicator and after being fully charged it does not look like it is glowing.

Sure you should bring it back. It should have a pro-rated warranty and possibly free replacement within a year or two.

Fan delay relays have been known to kill batteries in storage, or overnight, or while you are golfing, or shopping, or .....

Just trying to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Did the old battery die a premature death? Might be the car helping them to die.

Definately get another one under warranty.

Never liked Delco batteries myself. :(
