The TT chip delivers a static amount of fuel at wot. If you are going WOT and only making 8lbs of boost, you are over-fueling the car as it's looking for the 17lbs you usually run and is delivering fuel for that amount of boost. The backfiring from the extra fuel could be blowing your vacuum lines off. It probably is a puck issue since you just changed the DP.

Well I'm out here now,an the puck size is 1-5/16 an the acuator hole is 15/16.also now that I'm out here looking around I noticed that the adjustable wastegate arm an nut are pinned against the turbo. The connecting arm on my down pipe is not long enuff to put the arm out an away maybe this is a problem.

When the larger puck is installed, there is suppose to be 1/16" gap from the actuator lever and the puck shaft for self cleaning. If not then it will gum up and stick. Also I have read that some are having to grind away some of the DP flange to make the puck swing freely. Now what would also make since in for the spike as well. The puck is sticking, not all the way shut, the boost is building but not compressing. The pressure has to go somewhere and not all of it can escape by the puck, so that can be where the inlet hose is blowing off.

Old dp/elbow had serious back psi.. New pipe lets engine breathe like it should... WALA! It goes lean and the back fire takes place????

Well the dp I had on before was from a vendor of the board its a 3" to the stock elbow. like I said before when I'm at 8lbs of boost my hood mount fuel gauge says 50#'s of fuel.

Update: I pulled ajustable wastgate arm down off exhaust housing where it was pinned against an problem solved but now I don't have enuff bolt on the downpipe to hook up my watsegate. But hay I'm not back firing.
