ok here it goes in short. I had my motor built tranny built.. when i'm on the pedal i not getting any power from the engine and its kicking out black smoke. we did a compression test and its holding at or around 150 psi, checked the plugs and they are dry no signs of oil so maybe its the turbo? A mechanic told me that its a electrical problem not the engine or the tranny, but i'ts sparking off all 6 cylinders plugs, new coil and ignition module batteries at 14.4 volts. I'm stuck and frustrated att. any advice is better than no advice. Here is what the ScanMaster is reading idle:
390-0.0
AF-05
LB-33
BAT-13.7
INT-128
BL-142
MPH-00
CLE-152
ATS-94
R-950
TPS-.42
IAC-21
CC-24
NAL-00

Gonna need more info than that.
Scanmaster numbers, Powerlogger file, XFI log ? Something...

Bryan

post them all.

I do not know the scanmaster, I run XFI, but others can help you. The more info you can give the better.

Two things, one your o2 sensor is probably out. 390-0? try a new one. 2 black smoke is a rich condition. Too much fuel. Smell your oil, does it smell like gas? Are your plugs real dark, black? Whats your fuel pressure, injector age? while running tap the MAF does the engine stumble? could be so many things just have to start eliminating.

no has smell in the oil. The spark plugs are clean. The fuel pressure is at 40psi.
I've had the injector for a little over a year. And no hitting the MAF does nothing

What is the fuel pressure with the vacuum line off? Check for fuel in the vacuum hose when doing this.

What Chip are you running and is it burned for the correct injectors?
post up your combo. Where are you located? Maybe someone in your area [familiar with these cars] can help out.

Look INSIDE your maf , I know it sounds stupid but mine did that one time, black smoke everywhere out the tailpipes and no power. I finally took off my air cleaner and the screens in my maf had gotten turned sideways a pretty good amount and the black clip was broke. Straightened them up and fixed the clip . Also look inside the maf if you are not running the screens and see if you have a bug in there. One little bug on that maf wires , etc will make it run fat as heck !

also you don't list specs on your build so I am just throwing this out there for you . You said the motor is fresh, if you are running a k&n filter and just cleaned and oiled it you may have oil on the inside of the maf and it will make it loose its mind !!! Take it off and clean it good with a can of maf cleaner. NOT brake, etc cleaner. Good luck and let us know . We will try and help you all we can

engine build specs:
- CL69-400-8 high energy 269HR CAM & LIFTERS
- STEELE CRANK
- forged pistons 35 over
- stock heads upgraded valves and springs
- stock intercooler
- T6 TURBO
- turbo tweak chip
- stage 2 tranny
