I noticed that too. My friends thought you would have taken it and they're V8 guys.

anybody know when they will reair the episode??? or if?? I missed it, was in michigan for thanksgiving and my family does not get speed.

Thanks for the reviews gents. Makes me proud to have come so far with my car. Chris, you know.. it would have neat to get the camera guys' comments on tape.. I "heard" that one of them said, "Wow, an asian driving a Buick, that'll be good TV."
The guy in the Mopar actually dropped a starter or exhaust pipe is what it looked like for me. I just remember looking over after they shut him down and couldn't figure out that was laying on the ground beneath his car.
Ya'll just don't know how much of a heart breaker it was for me to lose to myself on that race. I only had the transbrake for the 2nd weekend, and am usually good under pressure.
Anyway - I'm just appreciative of all the camaraderie this has brung, seems like.
Awesome Job!!!! You made it apparent that it's not just the cars that "Go Fast With Class", it's the owners too.

BTW, I liked that format alot. In spite of what some people mentioned here, I also like the uncertainty of not knowing what grouping of cars would make the final cut. Even though it was really "index" racing, it's much better than the sandbagging of the original "Pinks".

Personally, I'm not going to enjoy the next episode where they've already specified 9 second cars for the Firebird Raceway episode. I can go to any of the 4 dragstrips near me if I want to see "race cars" run. The big draw for me was seeing a whole bunch of cars line up in the AM with an equal chance of getting on the show. I'd rather see (and can better relate to) a bunch of fast street cars duking it out more than a bunch of 9 second race cars.

My $0.02.

Well, all I can say is, since I run a low 9 second car, I'll enjoy it. They should mix it up. Not just 12 second cars and not just 9 second cars. Can't wait for the 7 second show!

Does anyone know what happened to the Fox-body Mustang that Ryan ran to get into the top 16? The lights show the Mustang winning at the end, his team cheers, and they interview the Mustang driver at the end of the run. Next thing you know, they're showing Ryan in the top 16 and competing for a spot in the top 8?

Jim

It was your classic TV editing team. They put a bunch of clips together to try to tell a story. But seldom get it right. Kinda like when they were talking about john's GN and showed a monte carlo going through the traps. Gotta love those editing crews.
