I thought DQ'ing him for rolling forward like that was in poor taste, espicially from a spectator stand point. They very easily could have let him re-stage and it probably would have been a good race.
 
Man what a heart breaker. I was so pumped up the GN was gonna when it all. I even tried to bet my wife, glad she didn't take the bet;)

It was nice to finally see a couple of TR's on the show!

I bet the gray T popped a HG, first thing I thought when it popped and saw the flame!



BTW, who bought the guys story with the camaro that ran out, he said the air got better:biggrin:

The Grey TType is Ryan Mosley from Houston TX.. Sweet looking car.

I would have liked to see 2 buicks in the final.. that would have made the ultimate statement.

Is It Just Me Or Was The Host Of Pinks Really Excited About The Gn? He Seemed Heart Broken When He Broke And It Could Not Go On. I Have Watched Almost Every Pinks Episode And It Seemed That He Was More Exited About The Gn Then He Has Been For Any Past Car. He Must Be A Fan Of The Gn.

I was so amped when i realized ol' grandpa's house got the speed channel. I sipped wine for about an hour and a half through pinks to get to watch it. By the time it came on i was hammered and had everyone curious about the show. Was better than football!! Too bad he jumped, but he never got beat! Great looking car....too cool!
 
I like the new idea, but realisticly how many of those cars are you actually gonna see on the street? The new one coming up is for 9.0-9.9 cars. You can go to the dragstrip and see those all day long. There gonna be basiclly all out race cars, NOT street cars. I personally would like to see a similiar show for say 11.0-11.5 cars, in full street trim, full interior working lights tags ect.... That would be a real street race type of crowd in my opinion

John's GN has a DFW emissions sticker which requires a Dyno test.

Greg Kring used to drive his low 9 second GN to the track.

There are lot of 9 second street cars out there. I would like them to have to prove they are street cars with a drive with sound meters and stop and go and tickets issued to cars that don't comply, but super fast ACTUAL street cars are pretty cool to watch.

Better than 11 second cars (unless they are factory stock appearing)
 
for the first time i actully liked watching the PINKS show.

as for the guy in the camaro .. what an ass.. Im glad he got caught..
Did you see the chick with the Nova.. running mid 9's and acted like she didnt have a clue..

The strangest thing was i didnt even know it was on. All my buddys know how i am about TR's and my phone started ringing off the hook..

haha. yea me too. my racing buddy (70 360 'cuda) called me, HEY, theres a special about gn's on the speed channel! I was like yea, its the bomb. Our little 30 minutes of fame lol.
and yea, that dude that LOST 3 tenths off his time, and got De Q'ed? said, 'oh i dont know what happened' ... lol yea. sure ya dont. the main dude said 'last time you ran a 9.9 and i let ya go, this time, you ran a 9.7, and i gotta let ya go' .. there was bound to be one. ahh well, at any rate, it was a joy to watch some good cars go head to head straight up. great show. im absolutely sure that johnny would have wiped the floor with every car there. we know the truth :) Let them guys keep wondering. Great show.

id like to see a pinks, (wouldnt we all im sure) have classes. like 'slightly modded street car' You know, like mandatory air/heat systems, radios, street tires (not dot drags) no roll cages, no 'glass hoods or trunks. would be pretty interesting i think. the TR's would just clean house soo bad, we'd get banned after while.
 
This thread I SO funny
I mean the regal was on TV for about 1 minute got to the final 16 (I was very happy)
Then was handed a gift (when the one guy broke) then lost (on an off sides call)
And I can hear the Buick party in New York.
And yes I was jumping up and down watching the show and telling every body around me look look it’s a GN and the only V6 kicking some V8 but.
Then come the fart “brain fart that is”

I am sorry but I can’t see any glory in going out like that.

I would rather get beat by a ricer then loose at the line to a pro-stocker

I see lots of guys posting 9’s over hear and 9’s over there I hope they enter the next show and make it to the winners circle. Or at least runner up

Then we would really have something to talk about.

BTW in what planet do some of you live in that you go to a race track in 2006 and people (other racers) don’t know what the turbo regals can do?

If I am wrong please school me but since 1986 these cars have been doing the same thing (kicking but and taking #’rs)
