I have my DIY kit installed on my Cobra, but am trying to "prove" my setup. I have a SureFlo and an M10 nozzle. I did a search, but still didn't see a clear answer to some questions: if I raise the pressure (with the adjustment screw) it will cycle less? It is cycling between 40-80 psi now, does that mean it's "set" at 80 psi? The cycles are slow and deliberate, will this change with higher settings? If I bypass the switch, the screw adjustment has no control any longer, correct?

Thanks,

Thanks,

The high pressure is established with the screw. But once it goes below its dead band it cycles back on. Hence your 40-80 swing.

Running the pump against the pressure switch whereby it cycles cuases the teflon disc underneath the switch to eventually fail due to the up-n-down motion. The technical term is "tear". Especially if you turn up the pressure's.

Bypassing the switch cuases the pump to deliver full pressure. Hope the lines and fittings are up to the task. With an M10.. 200+PSI are possible. And really high current in the 12-15 Amp range.

i have the same problem with my SureFlo, it cycles from 20-60psi and every time it hits 20psi my knock spikes also... if i bypass pump switch then its all good but pressure hits 150psi easy... now the questions...

if i leave it bypassed and running it full out will the pump Fail Soon ??? what if i decrease voltage to pump to about 9-10volts ???

how do i increase pressure with screw on SureFlo ??? do i turn it clockwise or counterclockwise ??? right or to left ??? what do i do to eliminate pulsing ???

Osman

P.S. running single M15 nozzles

To increase pressure, bury the screw in the hole on top of the pump. Looking at from the top, clockwise.

To reduce pressure, reduce voltage to pump.

And there is always going to be some pressure fluctuation with this style pump. Not as bad as when it hits and cycles the switch. Its a diaphram pump. The pulsations dont create any issue when flowing at a constant voltage.
