Well I know I am gonna catch hell from some folk for this one but.... I just looked at a Navy blue, T Top, 46K LS1 99 Formula tonight and sealed the deal!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I will be able to pick up the car Saturday night, as I will pick up the check for the lone Saturday morning, I can't wait!!!!! I have always wanted a LS1 and finnaly got one! I am trying to get the Camaro sold and sold the Nova to my father a few weeks ago so I should be set now. The Buick will still continue to get moded also, just it will have to wait more time at this point :D

congrats man, formulas are my favorite LS1s and NBM is a nice color as well.

Congratulations!!! My next f-body will be an LS1 car. I've had it w/ LT1s. The LS1s have so much potential. I'm sure you'll enjoy the car.

Later,

Steve.

I am heading in the LS1 direction also, hopefully soon.

Congrats on your purchase.

I also just recently just looked at a 2002 SS and was very impressed with it. Only real reason I didn't get it is their to hard to work on and not very cost effective when modding. Neverless, very nice cars:cool:

Keep modding the GN, it will always be faster:)

Thanks for the nice words guys! I am happy with the car and plan on enjoying it for a long time. As far as the modding im just going to put a loud mouth on and a SLP lid and call it a day. My GN is the go fast car (or is in the process) The bird will be a nice DD with some guts to it :D

Congrats. Hopefully yours won't blow the reverse gear in the trans where you have to hold the damn shifter in gear when you are backing up. Better yet, hopefully it won't spit out a rod bearing through the oil pan at 70k miles and get hauled off to the junkyard like mine did.

Maybe the LS1 is a bit better built than the LT1 in my car. Possibly the HVAC and radio knobs won't fall off in your hands either. What a POS mine was. It had more squeaks and rattles than the fat bitch's bed that lives in the apartment above me when her 300 lb. boyfriend comes over for a sleepover.

Seriously though. You've got a real nice car there. I like the Formulas a lot. I just hope yours is a bit more reliable and better built than my '95 was. :) Good luck and take some pictures for us.

Thanks for the compliments, I have pics but have no idea how to post them. Man sounds like yours was a real cream puff! This is the 3rd 4th gen that I have owned and the other two I never had a single problem with them except for wheel bearings and the famous plastic loud interior. This is my first LS1, Had a 94 LT1 Z and the v6 that I am trying to sell now and they have been great, but nothing like this Formula!
