Just because I know very little about the 3.8SC engines...

I skimmed a little, and I'm guessing that the best choice right now is the series II 3800 supercharged engine?

What model years should I look for either for the Regal GS or the GTP? I'm leaning toward the GS, but the g/f likes the HUD in the GTP. We might purchase in @ 3 years (or maybe never at all) Who knows, by that time, there might be that "sigma" platform available with RWD? Hopefully offered with the SC engine?

Any links for archived tech info?

Last question - are all the series II 3800 SC's considered OBD2 systems?

TIA.

Greg, if you're going to leave it pretty close to stock, I'd get a '99, because they had a little better airbox and exhaust design than the 97-98 GS's. If you're not concerned about stock, then by all means consider the 98, but the 97's have a pretty tricky computer to reprogram, if this is a concern.

If you're going to be waiting 3 years, I'd personally do as you suggested and wait on the rear-drive cars to come out in 2004, I'm hoping we'll all be pleasantly surprised.... :)
