And I get my car back from having a bar installed today after being kicked off the track my last time there.![]()
If I read the rules correctly, tires such as ET Streets and QTPs would not be allowed. Since our cars came with turbos, would any size turbo be OK? Can the techs even tell the difference between a stock and a big shaft turbo?

What's changed for us?
The new rules pertain to, for example, a guy who wants to take his PURE STOCK Cobra down the track, not to a modified TR.
Any track that allows a modified TR to run under PURE STOCK rules is acting outside of the NHRA rules.
Do you really think the NHRA would stick it's neck out on this matter? What part of PURE STOCK don't you understand? Oh, you may get away with it, but when all is said and done, it's still your azz, isn't it?
NOTHING HAS CHANGED (except now may be time to buy that Cobra)...

Brick,
Sounds like you're in denial?
Whether we agree with the rules makes for lively conversation, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. In fact, one could make the argument that going to a track and not playing by the rules is no better than street racing.

Now I know what's wrong with this board. Nobody can read. PURE STOCK = as constructed by the OEM. NOTHING HAS CHANGED for our cars. Oh, and pure stock TRs go 14s or very high 13s, not 11s. Not on this planet, anyway...
If you doubt my interpretation, phone NHRA, give them your what ifs, and let us know what they said...
