I was just thinking the other day...

What would happen if somebody dumped a gallon of RC Nitro fuel into the alky tank ???

I know it's available in different Nitro percentages (15% / 20% / 30% etc...)
It also consists of Alcohol and lube...

Just curious. :D

It would go lean and blow up. Nitro carries it's own oxygen, you have to inject it much richer than gas. It's also hard to light off, the stock ignition might not make it.

Nitropropane however will mix with gas and will produce another 5% hp. Of course you have to richen it up too.

Good to know.... My parents still have 4 gallons of my little brothers nitro stash at their house, lol. I was going to ask the same question after I get an alky kit....

The RC stuff has oil. Careful.

Want more air, put a bigger turbo on the motor. Or hit it with nitrous. Or both :D

I made a thread about this a while back... everyone said not to do it... I have access to the raw materials to make R/C car fuel so I can actually make it without oil... it would just be methanol and nitromethane... Hmmmmm! I guess I need an alky kit first!

So lets see my to do list:

Tranny 1800+$
Tint 150$
Seats 250+
Down Pipe 400+$
Alky Kit 500+$
Injectors 300+$

and the list goes on from here... I guess I need a better job or a different car  the sad thing is my car runs and drives... I would hate to have to see someone with a non running car!

I guess a few of us thought the same thing. I have a r/c car my buddy gave me, and had the gas hanging out. I thought about it too, but I too do not have an alky kit.
as far as your list goes, wait till you need
wheels & tires
leather interrior
PAINT:eek:
a big turbo:eek:
I sometimes wonder what I got my self into?? but I wont let it go, thats for sure:p

I meant to chime in on this thread sooner, but haven't had a chance. I have friends who are running full methanol Super class cars and are adding 4% nitromethane (yeah, the top fuel stuff). The problem is I haven't seen any appreciable gains since they started doing it and i'm sure cylinder pressures are up. I don't see the value and wouldn't recommend it for these cars.
