Hello,
As the title says, the car all of a sudden wont shift to third gear. Drove it last Sun am, worked fine. Took it out again Sun pm, no shift. TV cable is on the loose side. Driving conditions were just around town, part throttle. I took the revs up pretty high, maybe around 4k, and it still would not shift. I did not try a WOT pass.
1-2 shift works fine at part throttle. Any ideas?
Other info: Tranny was recently rebuilt. I know that it has a modified plate of the rebuilder's own design, and I think it has larger 1/2" 'boost' valves, whatever those are. Also, some holes in the governor were created/enlarged to raise shift points a bit (they are now around 5300 which is fine). Of course, all the requisite clutches and bearings were replaced, along with a new billet drum.
