Ok, so here is the deal. 87 Grand National. I do not have fire coming from my coil pack to my wires. There is nothing at the plugs. I just rebuilt the motor and everything with it. It has a new crank sensor, new cam sensor, new coil pack, new ignition module, new wires and plugs, ground strap is in the right place, main wiring harness ground is in the right place, alternator is hooked up and my battery is grounded in the right place. I have messed with it and messed with it, and all of my mechanical knowledge from over the years tells me I should have fire. But this is my first Grand National and Im sure there is a trick just like all cars. Can anyone help me with this problem or does anyone know a secret or trick. Thanks!

I just forgot to mention that I have tried checking all of the fuses as well and they all seem ok. Any input is welcome. Thanks

so basically you have a no spark situation, if all is good with what you mentioned check your crank sensor for damage or if it is plugged in( ask me how I know:cool: ) fi you are god there then also do the same check to your cam sensor.

If you can get your hands on a noid light (I think Autozone rents them) then you can see if you are getting a crank signal and there may be a problem with the coilpack or ignition module. If you have a spare ignition module or coilpack throw it on.

Let us know...good luck

Make sure the ecm is coming on, if the ses light comes on then the orange wire by the battery is plugged in.

Do you have the ignition module plugged in? Sometimes everyone forgets to screw that one part together. Been there, not cool!

I would double check to see if you have good fuses, and also check to see if you have power going to and from the fuses, just use your meter and check the front of the fuses... Ive seen the back side of the fuse panels melt....

Anyway, double check to make sure you crank trigger is set correctly.

Are the vanes from the balancer going through the correct groove on your crank sensor?
