My 85 has an 86/87 ignition coil and module. It used to run but backfired. Recently it started and then quit and would not restart (It will start with ether (starting fluid) but not gasoline).
I have been chasing the backfire issue and run out of knowledge. Took it to my Buick dealer, as the Service Manager assured me they have a technician who is good with the Turbo V6s (and I can't find anyone else who is willing to work on them--I live near Colorado Springs). His findings are weak spark and poor injector pulse.
I'm still using the 84/85 ECM and PROM.
Where should we go from here?
