When we droped the oil pan we were also pleased to see only minor ammounts of metal in the bottom of the pan.

What did the metal look like? Kinda like grains of salt?

I think the most we found were two or three REALY small metal flakes. The biggest was less than 1 mm in diamiter. I dont remember them as being round and 'grainy' like salt. They were more like a little piece of confettie.
