The front of my motor has oil leaking down and it is starting to puddle up on the ledge where the cam sensor comes out, also the front stays wet with oil on passengers side next to water pump i believe it probable the intake gasket leaking, any other ideas, it is hard to see exactly where it coming out thanks

Also check the oil drain on the turbo. Oil can run down the oil drain tube from the turbo.

Valve covers front breather lots of potential spots.
Clean it off good and inspect it closely.

Turbo drain or front of intake. Brake cleaner is your freind...clean it up and then drive and look.

Or could be the little brass block that taps into the engine block.....this holds the oil pressure sensor and the oil feed line to the turbo....you might check that as one of the fittings may have come loose from all that tromping of the accelerator.

thanks for reply i'm sorry i made mistake on which side of engine it was , passenger side, pretty dry it is on drivers side away from valve covers but next to cam shaft sensor , not much room to see with all wires and hoses there, what kind of seal on sensor, but it looks wet on front of intake , thanks

The turbo drain inlet is on the front of the block right by the front cover and cam sensor.... a lot of times oil will drip down the drain tube and puddle up on the top of the front cover by the cam sensor...

i'll take a look after i move and unhook wires and hoses thanks.

An old trick that I used to help me isolate a leak - which was coming from my trans "selector shaft seal" - was to clean everything off, and spray some foot powder in an aerosol can in suspected places - then look for the "trail".

Good Luck !!!

Should we use "GoldBond" foot powder?
Or will any ole foot powder do?
And will it also relieve this itch?

;-)

do you see any oil residue on the drainback line at the turbo?

Turbo drain tube is dry, where it goes into block it is little damp looking but looks damp even above tube inlet into block, the driverside of the water pump is where the oil seems to puddle up more this is why i think maybe intake gasket may be leaking. I just sprayed all off with brake cleaner , hopefully drive tomarrow and check it again.thanks for reply

Buicks don't leak,they are just marking their territory:pSorry I just couldn;t resist
