OK what's the big oil pump secret

I was messing with the car tonight and figured out where an oil leak was. It was comning from between the T-chain cover and the oil pump housing...pulled it apart, torn gasket...easy enough.

Got a new gasket, put it all back together and it is still seaping from around the top (side facing up) edge of the oil pump housing. I used NO sealer, just the thin paper gasket.

Got any tips? I'd love to kill this seepage.

If installed correctly it shouldn't. Sure you don't have a crack? Did you torque it down properly?
