Very Unique! I like what you did however i would have chose a different color unless your name is Jack Cotton.

That is definitely clean. I went with a lot of ceramic coated parts, black Champion irons and a grey block.

WOW! Now that's something you don't see every day: a TA aluminum block with Champion iron heads!:D ;)
I painted my ported iron heads aluminum. They are GN-6's;) :D

I do like to see something different. The orange is also not something you see everyday, and I LOVE it! Nice finish work. The details make all the difference to me. I hate it when I open a car mag and see a nice looking set up and then on the fender or firewall there is a RATS nest of wiring! THAT aggrivates me.
The only issue with ALL that hard work is that after everything else is bolted on the engine and installed it almost disappears, never to be seen again.:frown: Keep up the great job! Dare to be different! Looks GREAT!

I was a big fan of Chevy orange at one time. :D
Your pics bring back memories.
Here's a few motors that sat between the fenders of my '70 Camaro.

Why on God's green earth did you paint it Chevy orange ???

Now... I'm a Chevy guy to the core... but not so much that I'd paint my
Buick motor orange.
You should be strung-up by your testicles. :D

FWIW... It does look fantastic... Regardless of the color. :D

I'm just glad you picked Chevy orange instead of Ford blue. ;)
pictures 039.jpg
hey i painted mine ford blue, just to screw w/ people, i think i succeeded, oh yeah take the block back to the machine shop and have them finish the cylinders.

I have also bought (2) 16x8 and (2) 16x10 GNX wheels from Brain at GBodyParts. I will be sure to take pics of them when they are mounted!;)

I Don't Care....

how orange you paint it! It still ain't going to pass for no CHEVY!! ...lol:biggrin: nice job. brings back memories of the early years!

Colors....life is color

I think your motor looks awesome in orange.
Color like parts. (which you seem to have done very well)

Is a personnel thing. Chevy orange if keeps clean...Very cool.
Heh what would life be if everything was done exactly the same. Boring.
Really did a nice job......color are pigments...Motor is a Buick.
What turbo are you going to use. And for curousity. What color is the car?

Thanks for a nice Sunday morning lift.............Rob

Man Orange stands out and catches the eye. Looks awesome! What did the build set you back 10k? What's the volume of the dish on those pistons 24cc or more? That is one beautiful motor a piece of art!;) If I ever can afford to rebuild our motor I might go with Screamin Yellow and paint the same parts as you did . Like Freddy Prince would say " Looooookin" Goood!"

Who cares about the color! What a fine selection of parts - the inside of the engine is what had me drooling:cool:

WOW! That orange......

I'll bet the pics don't do it justits. LOL What a great idea.

I'd love to see it in person. Where you gonna run this summer?

Wow guys!

Thank you so much for the replies. I will try to take the time to answer any questions or comments in the next day or so. For now, I wanted to share a few more pics with you. My HPC Coated parts arrived. I bought the mild steel TA headers and had them HPC coated inside and out including the crossover. I also did the same with my THDP. I also had the Precision FMIC Pipes and the 4 inch MAF Pipe coated. And last but not least, I had the casing from my alternator HPC coated and it looks great! Especially with the RJC pulley and fan.

I am also including a pic of the Scorpion Roller Rockers that are hiding under the valve covers.;)

Here are a few pics:
