Something even better.........................A serpentine belt

, I had the balancer off twice to make sure the reluctor ring had enough clearance, but the stock length belt was sloppy as hell (Tensioner was good:wink

. Yesterday we were waiting for a shorter belt to come in (no luck), so I gave Otto a call and he gave me the part number for a belt that was 1" shorter. Slapped everything back on, fired it up, crossed my fingers and low and behold there is no noise

I knew I needed a shorter belt because of the slop, also when I removed the balancer the first time there was evidence that the reluctor wheel was hitting the crank sensor a little, so I "massaged" it a little :wink:.
Bottom line...........................Car is fixed, and Otto knows his chit
