Good luck. I recommend you have every favorite meal at least once in the next week, just to stock up on memories. Walk as much as you can in the days after surgery, it was amazing but every step made me feel a little better. Whatever size meals you are used to now, as you go back to more solid food try to eat more times per day and keep each meal to about one quarter of what you eat now for a meal, at most.
Carl, it sounds as tho you've already BTDT!!
The walking is going to start the day I get out of recovery...

That advice is exactly what I've received from the dr!!
He did say that after about 2 weeks, if I am feeling good, & no complications, go back to my regular routine..Just no lifting more than 30# for at least 30 days.
