Just a little info for you guys running around without your parking brake idiot lite working cause you unpluged it cause the the little tit broke on the switch...again.
After two new OEM switches, (probably made in Mexico) I rectified the problem by drilling a very small hole into the switch housing , slightly above the original tit so as not to short out the feed to the switch and then screwed in a 10/40 bolt till it bottomed out and then cut the head off with a dremel.
Works like a champ, and I'll bet you a dollar it lasts forever.
Now when the old lady, (I'll pay for that), drives it at least she will know the parking brake is on before she starts smelling burning brake .....lol ..
