me and jdpolzin pulled my moter last night. It went ok, there was some issues. the big thing i wanted to post is the gunk on the injectors. not good. It seemed that I had to turn down the boost over time. I wanted to get a power logger to check the duty cycle. seemed to lean out. I guss it wes the gunk on injectors.
Ethanol melting the rubber fuel lines and depositing it where you are seeing it?
Ethanol does not melt rubber.

The guy there had the deposits tested. The problem is definitely connected to the additives that are used in different parts of the country, additives that are NOT compatible with E-85; i.e. additives( detergents ) that would normally be used in pump gas.
It makes sense now why why people like me with a stock fuel system with over 25,000 miles are not seeing and it and other with brand new everything are seeing this issue.
E85 and rubber are a bad mix.
All new vehicles do not use any rubber in their systems.
Nylon, Teflon, Viton and various solvent compatible plastics are all commonplace now.
