Yeah very sad to hear another one lost to cancer!!! I also liked him in Point Break and in Road House.

RIP and Godspeed.

He was reported to be a really nice person, great actor and a real humanitarian. Take care, Patrick. Rest in peace.

RIP! He was a great actor and a good man IMO!

Going to have to pop in "Red Dawn" tonight for ole Patrick. Wolverines!!!!!!!!

That's really too bad. He put up a good fight. I always pull really hard for people in these situations!

I lost a brother to cancer a long time ago. It's not something I would wish on my worst enemies. RIP, Mr. Swayze.

On the other hand, I wonder how many memorials we will hear about for this entertainer?

Point Break was one of my favorite movies.

It probably would have been my favorite movie of all time if the director had actually casted a woman vs. a bull dike to play Tyler. Kinda ruined the movie but still great otherwise. She was painful to watch...

Red Dawn will always be a classic tho as well.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Or in the case of Patrick Swayze there was no smoke because there was no fire. He was a great actor who did his job well, a great humanitarian, and a family man. Never heard of 30 big wheels in front of his mansion or him hanging babies off of balconies. I'm sure Swayze and his family wouldn't want anything other than condolences. No drama and no bs. RIP to one of the best entertainers in my lifetime.

The best memory of him I have, besides Red Dawn, was the Chippendale tryout skit he did with Chris Farley on Saturday night live. Hilarious.

I will be watching Red Dawn this week in his honor.

"My family would want me to stay alive. Your family would want you to stay alive. You think you're so smart, man, but you're just a bunch of scared kids." Jed Eckert / Patrick Swayze from Red Dawn.

This is touching because I know how hard he tried to stay alive for his family. He came and got therapy at Stanford just down the road. Sharon knows people in that dept. He was told he only had weeks to live and he fought for 20 months.

God bless his loved ones.

That's exactly what I meant. Everything I ever heard about him was that he was an upstanding person. I started to put the roll eyes on my comment but I didn't really feel like they fit. Anyway, instead of the media circus and the wailing fans that a certain celebrity recently had surrounding his passing, Mr. Swayze, I'm sure will just slip quietly into memories. He deserves more, if the other one deserved anything, but since his life was not an endless parade of tabloid fodder, his passing will be barely a footnote on this year in history.
