Has anyone heard from Len Freeman recently? I tried calling his shop at 702-434-2991, and it says disconnected. Also his e-mail bounces back and so do the PMs. Any ideas?

Let's not turn this into a bashing thread. There was no reason to post that link. If you read that thread len stood up and refunded his money .anyways, now lets answer the mans question.

I don't think I bashed. I just offered up some info that I had available. He can make his own decisions.

Again I don't think I was bashing, I just don't take kindly to people trying to take advantage of our own. He refunded the money. How would you feel if you had to go through what Discostu did? A lot of jerkin' around to 'get the money back'. Especially if someone would have warned you first.

Again, not bashing, just offering up some friendly advice. He can make his own decisions.

Len Freeman of Performance Transmission of Las Vegas has done literally hundreds of trannies for our car with very few complaints. I, for one, feel that it is unfortunate for us that he has closed and moved on, and I wish him well in his new endeavors, whatever they might be. We have lost a great resource to our hobby. I had Led do my tranny last year just after Christmas and I am 100% happy with it.

I had my 200 built 3 times, Len was the only one that got it right. Thanks Len, and good luck with what ever you do.

Len is good people period. All issues aside, he is one of the best 200R4 builders in the nation.

Anybody personally talk to Len lately? I was hoping he would at least continue to do our local cars as a side gig.
I also heard from one guy that he isn't even in Vegas anymore... moved to Phoenix area.
I'm another long time happy customer of Len's. He's taken care of me as well as many others for years.
I'm also curious if he's still driving for the Gallinas? I know the whole operation was for sale, but never heard of a deal being made.

Yep!

Had mine redone 10 times by a local shop. Len rebuilt it for a great price. This was two years ago. I've now have hundreds of passes on it with ZERO leaks, or problems. If I ever need another TB trans, I'll hunt him down like a dog, and pay what ever he wants to do it.

The cheapest way to build a trans, is to do it right, once!
Len's stuff was solid, and he did it for a very fair price. Great guy too. Hope he's still doing them out of his garage.

When ur Sh** breaks let me know i will take you to my Local guy that will do a great job if not better than lens. ;), len did mine and it broke 2 times and i got tired of driving to LV or towing it all the day up there to have it fixed for free, he stood behind it but the drive and distance just made it impossible for warrranty work to be done,I took my car to a Local guy and he fixed it , the car is running better than ever and hasnt skipped a shift since. ;) btw he knows Len personally and this guy use to work on buddy ingersol's car back in the day.. :D

Big difference between being good from experience, such as Len Freeman, and being good by accident, such as a lot of other people.

len biult my 86 buick he took a little longer than i wanted but did me right.:) but i had a crank go out and take out my hole block and everything. thats when len did me dirty. i gave him $1,500 for a used long block and $4,000 as a deposit to have it built and that was nov. 26, of last year. his phone is still on but wont answer it or call me back. i have been trying for over a month to contact him but now must try to locate him to take legal action. i want my money!!!

ive purchased two trannies from harolds source, never had any problems with the tranny and still no problems.....

That's too bad. My trans is from Len as well.

If he reopened, I would not hesitate to buy from him again.
