Don't forget the Jack Daniels distillery tour in Lynchburg!! ;) ;)

I went to the F-100 Nationals in Gatlinburg and later in Pidgeon Forge- last I was there was 2003, spent about 10 days in and around there and I love it back there... went to Ruby Falls, a couple old grist mills, etc.

Come To Tacoma

Here is a pic from 5 min from my house, really beautiful:smile:

You may want to check out Canyon Dam lake in Texas as well Ty. Water comes out at 58 degrees all year round and it's a natural trout hatcher. You can tube down the river or rent a boat to fish out of. It's a great place to relax and ot comercial. Cabins are available right on the river so you can walk out of it and have some fun.

i live in Otter Tail county in MN- there are well over 1000 lakes in this county, and i think every one of them has at least a few cabins on them that you can rent. if you are into hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, trail riding a bike, or just relaxing- this is a good area to do just that.

Where are you now? How about Lake Norman or Lake Gaston in North Carolina? Lake Ouachita in Arkansas? Spent a week with friends at Norman and a week with some cousins at Ouachita and loved both of them, but that was a while back.

I live right in the middle of the Continental 48 states, no joke. We have a landmark 9 miles from my house, so we can pretty much go any direction.

Boys are 9 an 13 and love water, so boat rentals and jet skis would be awesome with neat places to eat and hopefully meet some board members as well.

Just got back from Norman and it was GEOURGEOUS!

I can send you a link to the house we stayed in. The kids would love it!

There are alot of places that are nice closer to you though! You have the right idea. I truly enjoyed our little lake vacation. We usually go to Myrtle Beach every summer but the kids insist on going back to Lake Norman this year instead:cool:

I need you to call me today. One of the kids needs to mail someone something to be postmarked from out of state for school:biggrin:

LOL, I just caught your new avatar too:eek::biggrin::cool:
