Has anyone been able to get the aluminum GN repro wheels to shine like the chrome stockers? Wenol always seems to work wonderfully for me in the engine bay. The wheels look a bit dull in the pictures. If so, what did you use to polish the aluminum? Pics of finished product?
Pic attached so you know which ones I'm talking about

Be interested to know this myself but not willing to experiment with my wheels. Polish & clear coat kinda deal?

you would have to strip the clear powdercoat from the gn repro first

I think they look good enough lol. I hate polishing and the shinier we get them the faster they will appear dirty lol

Boston do you have the wheels or are you looking for high quality pictures? I can take some high res pics if you want to see them. I have 7" and 10". I have not mounted my tires yet. I might mount the rears this weekend if I get time. Have not decided what I want to run in the front. I'm going for the "rake" look

I don't have them yet. I'm weighing my options for wheels this year. The repros would be the most cost effective as I can re-use my tires. I was planning on larger wheels, but I can't decide. These seem to be a happy medium for this year. I was looking for pictures and I ran across a few in the "Show off your wheels" thread.
They actually look pretty nice in those pics. It's tough to judge from a web picture though. If you have a couple good shots, please feel free to post.
Thanks!

Being clear coated, I bet they're real easy to clean brake dust off of. That's a big plus!

That original picture that you posted looks better than it did on my phone. Either way here is the pictures I took real quick. I did not even clean the wheel off.

Beautiful.
I think you just convinced me
Is that good or bad? :D

Its not chrome, but I think it looks very nice. Not to mention no rust / pitting, etc.

Always make sure they are mounted correctly. They are reverse drop center wheels like factory so they need to be changed from the backside. Make sure a center clamp tire changer is used. At a MINIMUM if a tabletop design changer is used make sure plastic guards are used and the wheel clamped externally. Never allow anyone to clamp your wheels internally (against the barrel of the wheel) The best way is a centerclamp changer with a rubber pad for the face of the wheel. A flange plate bolted in the lug seats is even better yet.

Just be careful if you have them mounted for you. Plenty of incompetent people out there that will ram steel "meat tenderizers" into the pretty barrel of the wheel, puncture the clear coat and ruin your wheels.

Oh, it's a good thing.
Thanks for the heads up!

Also, where'd you buy yours from. Seems a lot of vendors have them nowadays, from G-Body Parts to DetroitWheel
