Help me out guys and gals I am considering a job relocation that will take me from NE PA where i reside now to Hilton Head, SC area. I am looking to find out how much Buick Support is in that area. Since I am a Buick nut this is one of my deciding factors in moving there. Any help would be great!!!

Thanks

Not to be a jerk or anything but turbobuick support should be the last thing you consider when moving across the country.

Hilton Head is a nice trendy sort of area that is a tourist town. Expensive cost of living for South Carolina at least.

As far as turbo buick support...I really don't know what you mean by that.

I moved to SC 3 years ago from New Hampshire and it is the best. Huge culture difference but the weather is absolutely awesome. Good Luck.

The Army left us in southern Virginia when I retired. That is where I bought my 87T. Out there they drive their Turbo
Buicks and they race them. You can be in your car almost 12 months of the year. There were several tracks in my area and guys would show up for every test and tune. Even at some of the local car shows on Fridays there would be a GN in the line. I'd see other Turbo Buick owners driving on the street. There are several guys active on the Buick lists in the region and several vendors.

What's not to like? Well John Craig moved away. He said he moved for the weather,,,,,,,,,,just before a great hurricane came right by his old house.

But I told Lisa after she followed me around the world for 20 years, I would follow her on a job move if needed. And she brought me here to Minnesota where she grew up. Now the closest track is hours away. I never see a Turbo Buick at the local shows, only a couple at the Car Craft Nationals. I can't remember the last time I saw one on the street. The cars sit in storage for six months of the year and it seems like the owners just keep them under a cover.

For sure you will be closer to Mike McCoy and his stash of parts.

I don't recall where Hilton Head is, but I think it's close to Charleston as I remember the name. I lived in Charleston for 364 Days (Not quite a year :D) when I was going through school. I liked it down there a lot.

I lived like 2 miles from an 1/8 mile track, but that's neither here nor there. The TB community is alive and well down there. I had several people help me with my car when I was a noob while I lived there. Good times.

Cheap gas, good food, nice people, warm summer nights. What more can you ask for?

On a side note, I still want to know who that guy was that wasted me the night that I got my first Intercooled SFI TR. It was an 86 GN that he had, and I was in my 87. We were coming off of Naval Weapons Station Charleston and you had just left McDonalds on base. It was on Redbank Road. Who ever you are.... I WANT A REMATCH!!!

Now, how much fun can you have with a town name like 'Hilton Head'?:D
