Looks like a nice paper weight, 2 pieces are always better than 1.
Get the crank checked out to see if its still OK and not bent.

Well, that doesn't matter much at this point. Upon further inspection, there is also a crack in the block. :frown:
There is good news, though. There is already a 550hp bullet in it's place. Engine went 10.79 at 125mph in my GN with 5psi still left in it. Just need a 72lb. chip burnt and my ECM set up for the big squirters.
Still, sucks the stock engine is toast.

Depends on how bad the block is cracked, i know a bud that just got his 109 brazed back together, it was cracked where the main bolts go in. Should run better than 11.30 with the stock turbo, who knows.
Talk to the machinist and see if your block is stil AOK if it can be fixed.

Looks like most of the bolts and caps are still holding - what's the problem? 
TA block sounds like a good idea. Have seen lots of rebuilds that amounted to just saving some rods and a block. IMO, the money put into repairing a 109 block could be better spent taking one into a whole new direction. Gonna have to spend to have all the other parts machined, fit, balanced...not to mention buying all the parts anyway. Yeah there is the buy in on the block but it has been said many times, there is no cheap rebuild.

I havn't made my mind up yet on what to do. The GN engine is now in the car. Going to keep it that way and just have a fast street car (car ran 11.57 with the original engine, should go way in the 10s with the GN engine). The GN is going to be engineless for a while until I get things sorted out.
