I don't know what the difference is on the $86.00 dollar water line kit. If they both are suppose to be $60.00 I will call tomorrow and find out. I dealt with Mike at PTE. Mike, could you verify the price?

Engine is a 3.995" bore 3.400" stroke production block 4.1 which is 256cid. Stall is undetermined, 2800-3000 stall is about my maximum for a street car. I might be going to a Switch Pitch SP400 so that has a possibility of of a higher stall. Headers are going to be modified at the crossover probably due to the hybrid chassis and I plan on running dual Deltagates aswell.

Thanks,

I would use the 67 P-trim BB on that combo, with the extra cubes it would spool really fast and make great power. You should be able to run low 12's at that weight at a moderate boost level!

Mike said this was a minor misunderstanding. Its all good now right:D

No sir not at this time, the 67 P-Trim is the largest in the T-series we offer.

Pete

That is correct but he could do a GT42R with the 70MM wheel.
Those things are just plain nasty!!!

Can you adapt the 3 bolt housings from the T series to the 42R (70)? I would think the BB cartridge would be the same and the turbine housing would have to be machined?

Were not machining the 3-bolt housings for that turbine wheel at this time.

Pete

The T series center sections are different than the GT series stuff.
Why not just run a 3 to 4 bolt adapter???

Sure you could do that and make a custon downpipe and intercooler piping.

Pete

Pete,

If you re clocked the turbo and used a longer hose couldn't you get away with the standard "type" piping? The down pipe would have to be extended though. =)

You could be right on the compressor side, but it takes a 4" DP though.

Thanks for the recommendation, would you recommend this over a GT40R for streetability?

Thanks,

Will the waterline kit work with the stock turbo shield? And does the lines hook on the thottle body lines?

Yes and you can get the PT67 with the buick 3-bolt turbine housing:cool:

Pete

The PT67 is going to out spool a GT40r? The 40r would really need a header system to take advantage of the duel scroll to work properly. The 40r is suppose to be one of the quickest spooling turbos of this size. I dont know I havnt run one which is why I ask because I would like to have a very responsive system that makes around 700 to 800hp. Thats kinda why I was leaning toward the 61, I would give up a little HP (which I dont really want to do) but would gain the response. If the 67 is this responsive maybe it is the turbo for me.

Jess,

A couple things, you cant get the 40R with the Buick 3-Bolt housing.I would like to know more about your combo so I can make a better recomendation for you.

I have simular, though slightly lower HP expectations (650-700 full tilt on alky). Well changing the flange is no big deal for me, I have poston's steel headers for just that reason since I'm already going to have to modify them to clear the '64 Riviera frame, steering linkages, and oilpan in addition to adding the flanges for the deltagates. However cost is a factor, the cheapest I can find a GT40R is around $1600, what is the PT67 R-Trim BB going to run?
