Just curious here, I've owned my current 87 GN for like 6 years now and have never had a tranny problem  . But then again I've probably only driven it maybe 4K miles too. Found out the 2004R trans is probably a stage 2 built by CK Performance, the previous owner of my GN said that he spent about 3k for one of their tranny's, either he had one built by them or bought one outright? I don't know if the Torque Converter was one of theirs or not. It is a 9.5 N/L 3000ish stall made by Pro Tech??? Their page (Pro Tech) would not pull up on the internet. Does anyone know anything about them or the quality of this converter? I'm just hoping that it is has enough stall for the CPT-66BB (P trim) that I just order from Mr Cotton, as the converter did not have enough stall (off the line) for the TE45A that I'm replacing. I guess that I will be selling the TE45A soon though.....what would be a fair price for it? It does not smoke or have any play that I can tell. I'm going to call CK Performance tomorrow and see if they can tell me a little more about the tranny that the previous owner of my GN had them build, or bought from them.........Thanks

Anyone.................

Sounds like it may be a Pro Torque converter, ProTorque.com. In theory the converter should work better with your new 66bb. Smaller exhaust wheel and ball bearing center section.
