I'm having an AWESOME week. Yesterday I found out that I got promoted, I made Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). With the money for housing that I am now authorized, plus the increase in base pay, sub pay, sea pay, and nuke pay, I'll be making like $1500 more a month when I go back to a boat (That's a lot to a Navy Blueshirt, it might not be to some of you guys, though).

Also, after harassing my bank and insurance company enough, I finally got my money. I'm headed up to NH on Saturday to bring home a 86 GN with 85000 miles.

Life is good
:D

Thanks, man. I'm going to go as far as saying NOTHING can bring me down today. And it's Friday! :D

Navy blue shirt, civilian white collar, congratulations, $1.5 K extra/more a month is a hell of a lot to anybody

Shane that's awesome, especially because your in the Military and pay isn't that good to begain with. Congrats on your promotion and work even harder to get promoted to E-6, as you can see, it does pay off over time.

All that and your living in the best state in the US. ;)

Good luck with the new car. :)

Congratulations...Do you know Chief David Krucek??? He's about to be my Brother in Law, and he's in Groton.

Think he's a Senor Chief, but I'm nor sure Ddon't know navy ranks to well.

I come up to Groton to visit every once in a while, maybe we can hook up.

I'll never make E-6, this is the last stop for me. It takes about 3.5 years for us to make it, and we are only eligable at 3 years. I have 3 years 4 months left :-D.

I must say, CT is becoming less and less $h!tty as the weather gets warmer and thanks.

The name sounds familiar, but I can't say that I know him that well. Where does he work? If you're ever in the neighborhood, drop me a line.

Thanks everyone! :D

He used to work at the sub school, but now I'm not sure what he does.

I'll do that.

Congrats.
Thanks for serving our great country proud!!!:D

Do you know a Lee Webber on the USS Shoup?
Its a long shot.

Collin-
Can't say that I do, never been up to Subscol. Nukes don't go through it, so I don't really have any reason to go there.

Steve-
Never even HEARD of that ship. I'm a submariner, all we really know are other submarines. The whole circus... errr, surface fleet is a mystery to me. Why anyone would want to cruise the ocean in a big floating target is just plain a mystery.

You coming to Nashua to get my GN? Or Bryguys :D

Congrats from what I have seen Bryguys car looked nice bodywise.

Haha, Steve, nope getting Bryguys GN. If he would call me back that is. I know he had some issues with the motor, but I was never one to turn away a project, and with a body that nice it'll be worth it. I guess I'll have enough money to spend on fixing it up now, too :D

heh, squid. when anyone has a question you get to ask your chief if you can do it, you get paid more for being on a boat when that's the job a seaman's supposed to do, blah blah. Just busting your balls from a little jealousy. the 'ole USAF hasn't been jiving with me of late.

Congrats on the new car Shane! Now ya got something to put my cold air kit on that you bought for the totalled car. You'll have to head back up this way some Sat night for the cruise at the Wal Mart in Wallingford. 2nd and 4th Saturday nights starting in May. You will usually see a few TR's at this cruise.
