Guys,

I got a little present from the UPS man the other day.
This is a Dusty Bradford specified PTC 10 inch lock up.
It will stall around 3200rpm and will be perfect for a 66-67MM BB Turbo.
Now I just have to get the government out of my wallet and get
a head unit sent out this way.

Please enjoy the pictures:

Part number Dusty Bradford. Ill be requesting that part number also. It will be a billet stator non locking unit though.

I am looking to purchase the same converter, has anybody run this converter down the strip to see how well it does unlocked or how effecient % it is.

There are a couple of these in service.
They are not designed to be locked at WOT.
I just got this unit because it is on my daily driver.
It could go on trips to the track with is about 100 miles away

Ive got one in a 06 Trailblazer SS
Freaking Awesome!!!!
1.5 60fts at 12.60 stock tires spin 5 feet all wheel drive!!!!

I will post driving experience, dyno and maybe track times.
I still need to figure out the turbo.

John, how much did this baby set you back? I'm really interested to see how this performs on your car.

I got one PTC LU coming too for the Pro touring GN i will be building for a friend soon. Awesome converters. I purchased 2 of them just last month alone.

I got an off the shelf 10" non lu a couple of years ago for my GN...th350 though and it flat out rocks. PTC is the only way I'll probably ever go. FWIW.

I'm interested in the efficiency numbers on this one too. I've been told that lockups are generally looser than their non-lock counterparts.

Do they make this lock up converter for T400 as well? With the way technology is going there has to be a better alternative then a gear vendors unit for us T400 guys. Not looking for anything track related, strictly highway purposes.

Mike, Norbs bought two of them. Give him a call...not sure if they are LU or not. Brad

Since this converter is not set up to be locked up at WOT
it should have the same tight numbers that you would expect from
non lock up unit. At least that is how it was explained to me.
I am open to donations on turbos....

I will send you a e-mail.
To be honest with you I would like to duplicate your car.
In my opinion it was the epitome of why these cars are so
much fun! All bow to the swami!

John, I'm assuming this it the converter Dusty and I made famous? If it is you'll love it with a 6776. It flat out rocks!

That is a 3200 Stall and it has a Negative Fin Angle....
Curious to know how the slippage will be.

PTC converter
