I inherited a pte53 turbo on a trade and am trying to find out some info on it. I looked at the precision chart but didn't see it lised. So....what size compressor and turbine does it have, what converter is suggested, what is spool up like, how fast are guys going with this, what injectors would be ideal for the boost curve of this turbo. Whole lot of questions! Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks all.

I believe the 53 had the same compressor as the 44/49 and PT51, 58mm, and the same turbine as the old 61, PT54, 69 trim. Should go low 11's, high 10's. As far as stall, I always end up on the low end for suggestions. A real 3000 should get it done. Injectors, 42.5 009's will work, but I like the 60's.

See TE-50 in some threads below. I had one but was not built by PTE. I think PTE called their version a PTE53.

Forcefed3.8's is right. 44/49 compressor wheel and a .69 trim T4 turbine wheel. That's what I'm running on my car right now in a Precision .63 turbine housing.

T04E 60 trim.
Here it is: COMPRESSOR MAPS

As small as it may seem not too many on here have ran one out of breath.

So the te50 is the same as a pte53? My te50 has 11 blades on the turbine wheel

Any of the commonly used Garrett ex wheels will have 11 unless they are the GT wheels. Then they will have 10. Measuring the wheels gives the exact answer.

I haven't been able to find out what the pte 51, 53 exhaust wheel sizes are
Look at this Jesse, This is the chart/cheat-sheet I've been using as reference.
Precision Turbo Products - Buick Turbochargers

PT51 and PT52 use different turbine wheels, PT51= t350 70 trim turbine wheel(Inducer 2.795 exducer 2.338) PT52= t350 76 trim turbine wheel(inducer 2.795 exducer 2.437 and the PT53 and PT54 use the same turbine wheel .69 trim t4 turbine wheel(inducer 2.920 exducer 2.420)
Have fun with, I know I am.

so mine is the equivelant of a te53. Is this the same you got? Seems like it takes a bit to spool but damn when it kicks in better hold the f&ck on! Can't wait til I get the bugs sorted out and put a stall in. I wonder what max boost is on these? I'm guessing around 25?

There is some good information on that list but it is not all accurate.
