I think the correct comparison should be worded you wouldn't take your own drugs and other consumables to the hospital if you went in for surgery. Now that would be funny!
Maybe there was an issue seeing as these were emissions related parts? I can remember some shops being skitish on working on some of my cars because I removed the cat and had a straight pipe there. Tire shops were always a problem. For some strange reason the only place not affraid was the muffler shop. I guess he knew how to work the system. He basically told me no problem, I'm not the one who removed it.
Parts,insurance,utilities are tax deductable? Thats a new one on me. I'm going to have open up my own shop. Sounds better than welfare. Anybody who doesn't work on or with cars doesn't have a clue on what it takes to run this type of buisiness.
