There is a local place that sells race fuel. The fuel comes in 107 and 115 octane. What octane do most of you TR guys run? I have mostly used 112 octane and it seemed to work ok. Should I get the 115 octane and just add 94 octane until I get it down to 112 octane? Or should I go lower then 112 octane?

Thanks,
Jason

What kind is it Turco? We have mostly Sunoco over here, 110 and 116 seem to be the most popular.

I wouldnt run 107 on a 108 or 110 chip

Not sure what kind it is. If there are any Maryland guys out there, the place that I'm talking about is Speed Unlimited.

I'm keeping my street chip in. I tryed a race chip and it did not like it. My car just seems to run better on the 93 chip.

I'm just looking to set the boost at 24 psi.

Thanks,
Jason

You should try a mid level chip similar to a Thrasher 100. A combination of boost and timing is usually the way to go

Since you are using a 93 chip, try the 107, it is probably a couple bucks a gallon cheaper. Start your boost off conservatively , like 20psi and then bump it up in 1 psi increments

Sounds good! Has any one run 107 and set the boost at 24 psi? Did it work well?

Thanks,
Jason

Does using the 107-115 allow you to run more boost, or timing?.

If it doesn't then there shouldn't be any difference, unless the chip is less then optimum to begin with.

Tuning means actually measuring changes, you can't tune your combination by running surveys, or polls.

Use 106 UNLEADED (VP 103 and Xylene) and keep the Boost down to a "Reasonable" level and you won't have to BLOW $36.00 or MORE on O2's all the time!!!

I am going to tune my car. I’m not going to blindly just do what people say!!! I’m just looking for a starting point and then I will work from there. Also if you read what I wrote, then you would see that I am going to push up the boost.

Thanks,
Jason

If I'm going to run in excess of 25 PSI boost I like to have a little cushion as far as octane and what the chip is set for...like now I run with a 110 octane chip...26 degrees timing and usually run 25-26 PSI boost...I mix 110 octane with 116 or I run straight 112 when I can get it...
