Hey Razor,

I finally got your kit goin'. 20-21 PSI, everything on default settings, car runs like a swiss watch with ZERO knock at all times.

Turned the boost up a pound or two, tried again. About 4 degrees of knock early in the pull, dropping with each scan of the Scanmaster to 1 or so. Never had time to let the car settle out in 3rd - turning these things on public roads is, um, interesting.

Any ideas?

Also, what are your feelings on a reasonable amount of boost for the street - 18, 20, 22, 24, whatever?

Thanks.

:D

Well see you need to see if the KR is fueling related or mechanical? If it comes up and goes away it typically is mechanical. KR will always come up 1..3..5..6..7.89 etc.. not 5..4.3.2.1.0... So when you punch the pedal, remember what to look for. Like when the trans shifts.. it can make the knock sensor comeup a few numbers or more sometimes.

As too how much boost.. well that depends who you are ;) I know of plenty of cars running 27-30 PSI all the time.. and others running just 18-20 to keep wear on tranny and such down.

Chip can also play havoc with the car getting to WOT. Depending on how it puts timing/fueling in..

Roll into the throttle on 2nd or 3rd gear and watch the O2's and KR.. Try and run the leanest you can without KR and at the same time.. add boost and possibly timing.. all while trimming your alcohol kit.

Fun heh :D

Takes some work, but isnt rocket science :)

Thanks. I think I'm a 22 PSI guy. I'll leave the boost where it is and try a few more pulls, see what happens, and tune accordingly. I'm MORE than pleased with your kit so far...
