I'm stripping the car down for paint and was looking at the rear fender wells. I just decided that I will not put the fender trim back on again. I was planning on curring the lip on the rear fender wells and just leaving 1/4" or so to maintain rigidity. That's not going to be an issue, is it? I know some people roll fenders, but I figured that is so they don't create heat and damage the paint. that's not an issue for me. Is there something I'm missing?

The previous owner of my car cut them nd it looks terrible when you see it, the good thing is most people don't get on their hands and knees and look in my wheel well Haha

I like rolled because if you do it nice it looks better and if the tire does hit for some reason it won't cut the tire.

dont cut so much off that you cut threw the spot that holds the quarter panel to the inter fender! personally I would not cut them period, not going to gain enough to make it worth while I'd roll it if any cleaner look

The last 2 posts had real good points. Thanks guys. I don't need the clearance now, but figured I'd do it now just in case I need it down the road.
